Cineko helps you find movies and keep a personal watchlist. We collect only the data required for search, sync and usage limits to work.

What data is processed

• search phrases, descriptions and text recognised in the images you select;
• the images you send for recognition;
• saved movies, list order and watched marks;
• a technical account identifier and usage-limit statistics;
• an email address, if you voluntarily sign in with Apple ID.

How the data is used

The data is used to search for movies, show results, sync your list across devices, prevent abuse, apply usage limits and analyse product stability. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising tracking.

Third-party services

Cineko uses Supabase for authentication, storage and server functions, OpenAI for processing search hints, and TMDB for movie details and posters. Data shared with these services is limited to what the corresponding feature requires.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Local storage and sync

Your list works locally with no sign-in required. After signing in with Apple ID, list data may be synced through the Cineko server between your devices.

Deleting your data

A signed-in user can delete the account and its associated data from inside the app. Some anonymised technical records may be retained where necessary for security, usage limits or legal compliance.
